About David Gilmour
David is a Business Manager with over 20 years experience working for clients in multiple sectors to deliver technical support and guidance on compliance testing. As a Registered Environmental Practitioner, he has conducted a range of environmental monitoring assessments throughout the UK including air quality, drinking water & Legionella, trade effluent compliance, hazardous materials and radon surveys in order to assist clients in ensuring technical and legal compliance.
As well as technical support, David takes responsibility for commercial operations including project management, tendering, estimating, P&L management and achieving business objectives.
In November 2021, David spent several weeks working on a large hazardous materials survey in the Falkland Islands.

David has been a Business Manager at SOCOTEC UK since January 2009. Prior to his current role, David was Team Leader for the Environmental Monitoring Team. Since joining the business in 2001 as a graduate, he has developed through the business and now oversees the Environment & Safety and Consultancy teams covering Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
In addition to being a Business Manager, David also is the account manager for numerous clients in the transport, logistics and local authority sectors.

Professional Licenses and Certification
Registered Environmental Practitioner from the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). Issued Dec 2021.
Full Member of Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) Issued Apr 2022.
Associate Member of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).
Member of the Water Management Society.
